We will provide a summary of recommendations and a quote following your initial appointment. The quote will detail the cost of any recommendations.     Knees for less active walkers

    If you are a new amputee or a little less confident walking on your prosthetic we have a range of knee solutions which can help you to feel more stable and secure. Our experienced prosthetists will work with you to find the perfect device for your needs.

    Pneumatic knees

    Pneumatic knees work by compressing air when you flex the knee, this stores energy and as you extend your knee the energy is transferred. Pneumatic knees provide excellent swing control and stability.

    Constant friction knees

    Constant friction knees provide friction throughout walking, this helps to create a consistent walking pattern. Due to the minimal mechanisms within this type of knee it makes them lightweight, simple and dependable.

    We offer free initial prosthetic assessments to those who intend to self fund their treatment or to those who wish to gain an estimate for costs so that they can apply for funding.
