What does it stand for?

BAPO is the British Association of Prosthetists and Orthotists.

What is it?

BAPO is the UK representative body for prosthetists and orthotists. All of our prosthetists and orthotists are members of BAPO.

What do they do?

BAPO works to encourage and enhance the continuing high standards of prosthetic and orthotic practice within the UK.

  • Works with education providers to develop the education standards for the profession
  • Develops and runs educational and continuing professional development opportunities for members.
  • Produces guidelines for best practice within the profession
  • Works to promote prosthetics and orthotics to service users and organisations
